How to Improve the college through new media

First of all I would modify the College's website to make more optimized on the mobile. I would make the website more interactive and attractive through using features such as a brand story videos. This means I would first redesign the website to incorporate brand story videos featuring successful students and instructors, school events and programs. This means when the website loads the first thing that would come up would be the College's brand story which shows students having fun doing different activities within the campus. I would also include testimonials from both students, lecturers as well as the alumni. This is in a bid to show the world what the college is all about. I would make the website a one stop shop for the visitors. This video would be linked to the school's YouTube Channel where the website visitor would be redirected at their own volition for more of the college's content.

Secondly, within the website I would have a chat app where visitors could get real time assistance from real customer care representatives. I would also tailor a without the website application from which users of android, IOS and windows phone would be able to use. Within the app students would be enhance to upload assignment, contribute to the discussion threads in class discussion groups as well as chat with their lecturers. The app will have formal communication channel and a less formal channel all built in within the app. The aim is to try as much as possible to enhance interactions among the college community so as to foster lasting relationships.

Lastly, I would look into how features such as live videos can be incorporated in the college website and the new applications so as to enhance more student teacher interactions through weekly online meetings. These moves of innovation would improve the college use of the new media.
